Kenneth Washington Jr.
Owner/Lead Instructor
Kenneth Washington Jr. is an experienced musician and teacher who approaches music instruction in a distinctive and multi-faceted manner.
He knows that each child is unique and learns in different ways. Kenneth has worked in several schools, often building music programs up, and has taught music privately for 10 years. Kenneth is a certified music teacher in the states of Texas and Louisiana.
In addition, he has performed many times and, through his music instruction, made everlasting impressions on many young minds. He holds a Music Education degree from Southern University A&M College as well as a Master of Music Technology degree from Indiana University Purdue University-Indiana.
When he is not molding the minds of tomorrow, Kenneth also enjoys spending time with his wife, two young sons, and niece. He also likes reading, playing video and board games.

Kiva Washington
Operations Manager
Kiva Washington is a Registered Nurse, currently serving as an Elementary School Nurse in the Alief Independent School District. As a former band student and drum major in High School, she has a passion for music education for youth.

Kiva is originally from Crowley and Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a graduate of Louisiana State University. For the last 4 years she has called Houston, TX home along with her husband, Kenneth, and their two sons, Parker and Grant.

Kiva enjoys church, reading, photography, hiking, traveling, crafting, and time with family and friends.

Morgan Jaroseck
Instructor-Voice, Guitar, Piano, Music Explorers, Special Needs
Morgan has three great loves in her life: music, teaching, and her family. She plays and teaches voice, piano, guitar, bass guitar, and percussion. Morgan studied Music Education and Child Developmental psychology at Blinn College in 2009. She started teaching private lessons as a college student and fell in love with it. Through a private lesson, Morgan has the ability to form strong and lasting relationship with each student and their family to create a lesson structure and musical journey that is unique to each student and their needs.
Morgan tailors her private lesson curriculum to each individual student to ensure that each student has a solid foundation in music theory and technique, as well as the tools they need to build confidence. She enjoys teaching beginners of all ages and is experienced in teaching students with special needs.
Morgan teaches with the philosophy that music is a universal language that can cross any barrier and that music is an artistic form of self expression. She also believes that the purpose of life is to learn and grow, music is one of many paths that a person can take on their journey of growth as an individual in society.
She has three amazing children, whom she homeschools. As a parent and a teacher, she understands the importance of keeping a student engaged in the lesson. Morgan believes that learning should be fun and rewarding.

Alexis Mitrushi
Instructor-Piano, Violin, Viola
Alexis Mitrushi is a music performer and educator currently based in Houston, TX. She is now a
substitute violist for the New World Symphony and a Community Embedded Musician with the
Houston Symphony. She recently graduated with her Master’s Degree in Viola Performance
from Mannes School of Music in NYC with a full scholarship, studying with Daniel Panner. She
completed her undergraduate schooling early at Oberlin Conservatory, graduating in 3.5 years
with her Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance, as well as a minor in GSFS, studying with
Kirsten Docter.
She is originally from Houston, Texas and began her studies with Teresa Han
from the age of 12, starting on piano from the age of 8 for about 10 years. She has served as
principal violist of the Oberlin Orchestra, Oberlin Chamber Orchestra, Oberlin Sinfonietta,
Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble, Mannes MACE ensemble, and Chautauqua Music
Festival Orchestra. She has served as a substitute violist of the Firelands Symphony Orchestra,
Symphony of Southeast Texas, as well as Denver Philharmonic.
Alongside performing, she has taught viola, violin, and piano for several places in different
communities, such as Oberlin Arts & Sciences Orchestra, Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra,
Outschool.com, Chautauqua Institution, and she has taught in person in 2 locations in NYC:
Anselmo Academy & City Strings, along with one location in Washington D.C. She currently has
her own private studio in Katy, Texas and teaches for Katy ISD as well. She is very passionate
about both performing and teaching, and she believes that music can be a tool utilized for the
expression of one’s soul. In her free time, Alexis loves to bake and watch Studio
Ghibli movies.
